Taurus

In Greek mythology, Taurus was identified with Zeus, who assumed the form of a magnificent white bull to abduct Europa, a legendary Phoenician princess. The Cretan Bull which fathered the Minotaur was originally calm and sent from Poseidon,

but the king (Minos) whom it was sent to fell out of favour with Poseidon, and so in some versions of the story, Poseidon made the bull angry.

Plejaden:

Is the famous open star-pile in 390 light years distance. One can recognize seven of those stars with the pure eye. All in all there are 250 stars. The greek name means "pigeon".

Aldebaran:

A red giant in 66 light years distance. The arab name means "The Follower", because it seems to follow the Plejads und Hyads. In Mesopotamia it was beside Regulus, Antares and Fomalhaut one of the four royal stars.

TaurusTo describe the typical Taurus temperament, you would probably use the word practical and purposeful. One word you would not use is impulsive. When the tauruses have to make important decisions in life, decisions about things that are vital to their security and the welfare of those they love, they spend a long time on this. They want those decisions to become a solid rock.
